Living Lab – Experimentation Phase in Thessaloniki! 🌱
On May 28th, the farm of the Department of Agriculture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki came alive with the energy and ideas of over 20 participants during the 2nd Living Lab – Experimentation Phase. This hands-on session brought together students, stakeholders, and business consultants in a collaborative setting to co-create and test innovative educational materials.
We had a blast diving into creative conversations with students around how to make the PermaLABS framework more hands-on and engaging!
💡 We all agreed: mixing up the types of activities isn’t just more fun—it’s essential for deeper learning. So, we’re taking a fresh spin on tools from business studies, giving them a Permaculture-powered makeover to better align with the PermaLABS values. 🛠️
🎴 And because who doesn’t love a little friendly competition? We also dreamed up a short card game during the final stage of the Living Lab—designed to bring Permaculture principles to life through play! ♻️🎴
This Living Lab is a core activity of Work Package 3 (WP3), focusing on the co-creation of educational resources for sustainable and regenerative practices. As part of the broader PermaLABS initiative, all project partners are currently implementing four such Labs in their respective countries. These Labs will culminate in the creation of two comprehensive toolkits:
📚 One for students
👩‍🏫 One for educators
These toolkits will be tested in real learning environments during next year’s
PermaLABS Summer School.
Together, we’re planting the seeds for a more sustainable future through permaculture education and innovation!
